Support the League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters of Colorado (LWVCO) depends on the generosity of individual supporters and members, foundations and corporations to fund its citizen education and advocacy activities.
Contributions to the League of Women Voters of Colorado (LWVCO), a 501(c)(4) organization, support our office operations and lobbying efforts. By law, these contributions are not tax-deductible.
Sustainability-everyone is talking about it and so is the League of Women Voters of Colorado. In January 2007, the Board created the Future Fund. The goal is to have $100,000 in the Fund to ensure that the state League will continue in the future. Upon reaching $100,000, the interest from the Fund may be used to help in the LWVCO operating budget. In a Board determined financial emergency, money may be borrowed from the Fund but must be repaid. Contributions to the Future Fund are not tax-deduct able.
Contributions may also be designated for the lobby fund, which help to support the League lobbyist during the Colorado legislative session. League members volunteer to follow the proposed legislation during the session, as well as to write reports for the bi-weekly Legislative Newsletter. Contributions to this fund are not tax-deductible.
The League of Women Voters of Colorado Education Fund (LWVCOEF) supports our voter education activities including voter registration drives, candidate forums, and the publication of statewide ballot issue pamphlets, voting information, and other educational materials.
The LWVCOEF is a 501(c)(3) organization that is registered with the Colorado Secretary of State. Contributions are tax-deductible.
