When we last met, we agreed that at least part of the League's strength lies in informing the public of policy issues. We agreed to sponsor speakers on topics about gun violence prevention. I have asked Dr. Beverly Kingston of CU Boulder to speak with us about preventing violence, particularly in schools.

Last legislative session was a whirlwind -- and the gun violence prevention community was successful overall. We now need to consider how to consolidate the gains, and how to make our new laws work for everyone.
